When you invest in your own wellness, the impacts reverberate: in your relationships, your family, and your community.

When life shifts, we adapt. You might find yourself in a significant transition, like starting a new job or moving on from college, where doubts and self-questioning arise. Alternatively, changes beyond your control, such as loss, a breakup, or systemic oppression can create a conflict between your circumstances and your true self, leaving you feeling uncertain.

I believe that self-awareness and self-acceptance are crucial for healing. Understanding ourselves better equips us to make choices that align with our needs. External expectations often lead to distress, and in therapy, my aim is to help you tap into your inner strength, let go of what you can't control, and take charge of what you can. It's about more than just accepting and moving on.

Your feelings are valid here, no matter what they may be. Each session aims to provide a safe space where you feel acknowledged, listened to, understood, and empowered.

Just as I encourage authenticity in therapy, I am committed to the same. Our collaboration will focus on recognizing and changing unhelpful patterns, discovering your strengths, embracing self-acceptance, setting boundaries confidently, and experiencing holistic healing across all aspects of your life.

Background & Experience

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, Colorado, and Florida, and have dedicated my career to supporting children, teenagers, and families dealing with immigration, legal issues, and significant mental health challenges. With more than six years of experience as a member of the mental health authority in Travis County, I have served the community in various settings like clinics, schools, and correctional facilities.

Currently, I focus on training and educating both in therapy sessions and within the community. My experience emphasizes the importance of integrating play in therapy for individuals of all ages and challenging existing mental health practices through decolonization. I have helped in educating on topics such as sexual health and wellness, men’s health and identity, and consensual non-monogamy. I am particularly interested in helping individuals navigate their identity, explore gender, sexuality, and more.

Together, the goal is to promote acceptance and self-confidence, empowering individuals to thrive in all aspects of their lives.
